The boys each caught the kind of caterpillars that turn into monarch butterflies. They fed them and gave them drops of water until they spun their cacoons. The boys hadn't checked on the cacoons for a few days, but this morning they went out and peeked at them. Dillon's had turned from white to black. Dillon came running in yelling "My cacoon is black!" Adam informed us that that means that the butterfly will come out within a few hours. Sure enough the boys went back out after breakfast and the monarch was coming out!!!! I'm sure that God wanted these boys to witness this miracle - that's why they checked on the cacoons this very morning!

That is so cool!!! What a neat thing to see!!! God's creation is soooo cool!!!
Wow - that is great. Whenever my kids tried something like that, either the caterpiller would die or the cacoon wouldn't hatch. Good for them.
