Memorizing Monday

OK, I have decided to challenge myself to start memorizing Bible verses. Our pastor had an incredible message yesterday and it challenged and encouraged many people. He talked of a man who had never memorized much scripture and how when he was about to pass away, he memorized a verse that Pastor Steve gave him and he was smiling and so proud of the fact that he did this. How much more these verses must speak to you when you read them and digest them and take them from the pages of the Bible and plant them in your heart!! So I am challenging myself to learn a verse a week and I would like to challenge and encourage you to as well. From now on every Monday on my blog will be Memorizing Monday, I will put a new verse up each week. For this week I will give you the passage that this man memorized.

"Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior." Isaiah 43:1-3
