Bedtime Conversation with Ruby
Last night before bed, Ruby was laying next to me and we were chatting here is how the conversation went:
Ruby:"Why did God put us here?"
Me: "Well, to tell people about Jesus, so that they can come to heaven with us."
Ruby:"Heaven isn't in our house."
Me: "No heaven isn't in our house."
Ruby: "Is heaven sometimes bad?"
Me: "No heaven is the happiest, happiest place."
Ruby:"Then heaven is at McDonalds."
What a cutie - the things kids say....I had to turn the other way and hold in my laughter.

Babies!!
Last night we went over to Aunt Katie's house to see her baby bunnies. She thought that the kids would be able to hold them, but they weren't quite ready to be held yet. Maybe later this week. They were so tiny and cute - awwwwww - too bad they don't stay that little :)(Katies bunnies tend to grow to the size of a small dog!!!!)

SCARY!!!!!!!
Yesterday was a busy day! After church in the morning, we went straight to Grandma's house for dinner. We also celebrated Olivia's birthday - she turns 4 this year!!!!! Happy Birthday Liv! After Grandmas house we went straight to Aunt Katie's house for supper. The kids got to see Uncle Kris start up a HUGE bonfire. We also celebrated Grandma's birthday! Well it was getting pretty late - so we took off and headed home. Jason had a raging headache and the kids were being quite loud (maybe a sugar buzz from all the easter candy), so I decided to tell a ghost story on the way home to keep the kids quiet. They loved the first one, so they were begging for another. I told one more hoping that I wouldn't regret it later in the night. Well, the boys had to sleep with the lamp blaring in their bedroom and the hall light on, and Adam came out and asked me two times if the stories I told were "real". Then upstairs, Rosie had to show me that she needed her bedroom door more open than normal (but she wasn't scared). The babies were so tired that they fell asleep in like ten seconds... but by 1:00 a.m. Ruby woke up crying and crying, so Jay went and got her and brought her in bed with us. Maybe I'll not tell anymore ghost stories at 9:30 at night anymore ;)

The Collision of God and Sin
I really enjoyed this devotion I read today from My Utmost for His Highest by Oswald Chambers.
"Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree." 1 Peter 2:24
The Cross of Jesus is the revelation of God's judgment on sin. Never tolerate the idea of martyrdom about the Cross of Jesus Christ. The Cross was a superb triumph in which the foundations of hell were shaken. There is nothing more certain in Time or Eternity than what Jesus Christ did on the Cross: He switched the whole of the human race back into a right relationship with God. He made Redemption the basis of human life, that is, He made a way for every son of man to get into communion with God.
The Cross did not happen to Jesus: He came on purpose for it. He is "the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world." The whole meaning of the Incarnation is the Cross. Beware of separating God manifest in the flesh from the Son becoming sin. The Incarnation was for the purpose of Redemption. God became incarnate for the purpose of putting away sin; not for the purpose of Self-realization. The Cross is the centre of Time and of Eternity, the answer to the enigmas of both.
The Cross is not the cross of a man but the Cross of God, and the Cross of God can never be realized in human experience. The Cross is the exhibition of the nature of God, the gateway whereby any individual of the human race can enter into union with God. When we get to the Cross, we do not go through it; we abide in the life to which the Cross is the gateway.
The centre of salvation is the Cross of Jesus, and the reason it is so easy to obtain salvation is because it cost God so much. The Cross is the point where God and sinful man merge with a collision and the way to life is opened - but the cost and pain of the collision is absorbed by the heart of God.

Happy News
A while back I posted a picture of a little girl who needed a home (I saw her picture on a different blog that I like to read). You can re read the entry here. Well there is good news for these two sisters.Mirlande Goen and Loudnie Marcum have forever homes - 15 minutes apart and in the same extended family! God sure is good like that!

Bowling, Bullfrogs, and Buddies
This week is spring break for Adam, Dillon and Rosie. So we are trying to do something special each day for the kids. Monday we went to see Charlotte's web with Michelle and the girls - very fun - and especially nice for me because the tickets were free for the kids!!!!
Today started out with quite stormy weather. I didn't really have anything planned for the day yet, but Adam got to go to his buddy Jared's house. That is always fun for him. Jared's house is off the road and in the woods so it is a little boy's heaven!! They played in the pond and hunted in the woods and caught a snake. Since it was raining, I decided to take the rest of the kids bowling. That was very fun!!! The kids did great and Jason also surprised them and came and had lunch at the bowling alley with us!!

Later in the day, the weather turned nice enough for the kids to play outside. I was sitting in my lawn chair enjoying the sun and relaxing a little bit (dozing on and off - I know, what a slacker) and I didn't know that Dillon was sneaking up by me and so I opened my eyes only to be staring into the eyes of a big ol' frog!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think everyone on our street probably heard my shriek!!!
