Daddy/Daughter Night

Tonight Jay and the girls had a very special night out with Uncle Joel and Olivia!! They went to a Father/Daughter Banquet and Concert that was put on by one of our local radio stations. Everyone had a very wonderful time and enjoyed the food and the music and especially the time as Father and Daughters. This afternoon was a bustle of excitement around here as I helped get the girls ready and their hair and dresses just right, and just for this special night they all got to wear just a little of mommy's makeup. I know very special memories were made tonight and I hope that they can maybe do this every year. Here are some pics of the night. (The first pic has little Zaria with Daddy and her sisters. She was a little too young to go to the dinner tonight but we didn't want to completely leave her out of the experience.)

An Afternoon with the Butterflies

Yesterday my Mom, Katie and I decided to take Ruby, Naomi, Zaria and MJ to see the local butterfly exhibit that is in town. They liked the butterflies but didn't like the heat and humidity, of all of the kids that really didn't like the heat can you guess which one complained the most? Yup, Naomi! Seems a little ironic huh :) Over all the visit went well other than Ruby thinking that I was gonna let Zaria somehow escape or get lost in the butterfly area. I was letting "Z" wander a few feet away from me and letting her explore a little and all we heard as we were walking around was, "MOM, get Zaria, she is getting away, MOM, I can't enjoy myself if you aren't holding Zaria, MOM, you aren't keeping a good eye on Zaria!" Jason had to laugh when he got home and heard the story and had to explain to Ruby that she has one of the most over protective moms in the world and that she had no need to worry about me letting Z "run away" from me..... I guess Ruby comes by it honestly, poor girl!!!

Anyway, enjoy a few pics from the gardens

Welcome Baby Kolton!!!!

I was so surprised to get the call this morning from my sister!!!!!! The baby is here!!!!! He is such a little cutie pie! He was 6 lbs 3 oz. and 19 inches long. He was born a little bit after midnight. He looks very healthy and cute! (By the way, I was so excited to hear the news I forgot to double check the spelling of his name with Jenny, so that may need to be fixed.....)

Mini Bedroom Makeover

I have been wanting to get matching comforters for the girls bedroom ever since we finished it. I am a cheapskate so I have been holding out for a great deal since I had 3 beds to cover. Well the day came, this past Saturday we took a trip to Target to pick up 3 comforters for 14.99 a piece. Thats just 45 bucks for all 3 comforters!!! They had the exact ones that I wanted, so right when we got home I put all of the girls beds together, and it looks so cute. The best part was that this morning I looked up the Target ad online and found that the comforters were on sale!!!! Woohoo and Target honors their prices if you just take your receipt in, so in to Target we went and got another $9.51 back in my pocket, I just cannot believe I got 3 comforters for just $36.00 what a steal!!!

Winter Fun

Here are some pics from the last couple of weekends. The first pics are of the time we spent up at the cabin so the kids could do some ice fishing. They had a riot. They caught lots of little perch and some crappie through the ice. I know they had hoped to pull in a big pike on the tip-ups, but just catching something was fun! They also got a kick out of coming home from getting bait at the bait store, and informing mommy that their daddy drove across a lake with them in the tahoe just for fun! The last few pics are of a day at Grandpa and Grandma's house. The kids had been wanting to get out on the 4 wheelers with Grandpa and get pulled behind in the sleds so that was a very fun day as well. OK, now we have had our last "wintertime fun days", now spring can come :)
