This past weekend

Sorry for the delay in posting, I've been trying to get the pics from this weekend uploaded, but it's not working for some reason.

Anyway here are the updates from the weekend:

1.Adam and Dillon both took home GOLD from regional wrestling!!! WOOHOO!

2.The weekend that was supposed to be sunny and nice and 78 was actually rainy, stormy and 48.

3.After the wrestling match I got in a fenderbender with a blind guy that hit me because - are you ready for this? He didn't see me - go figure....

4.After that I had to drop off a key to my sister who happened to be up north for a golfcart "festival" because I had my mom's key to our house and she needed it so she could walk our dog. When we got to Katie, I took the keys out of the ignition and gave her the key, then we were about to pull away and my windows wouldn't go up!!! In the pouring rain!!! So they were trying to figure out if it was a fuse or something, then Kris had me pop the hood and thought, "hmmm this engine is awful quiet." MAYBE THE CAR IS NOT ON!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my gosh, I was so embarrased!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Needless to say after they left, I had a total meltdown.

5.The cabin still ended up being a good time, on Sunday we were still able to be outside and have a fire and roast marshmallows.

Good Post

I read this on another blog this morning and thought it was great so I am passing it on. It is about a marathon runner.

I guess you know where this is going. But, it’s sad that we don’t see this atmosphere in the Christian church. For 26 miles - for 3 hours and 50 minutes and 54 seconds, all I heard was cheering. People never looked at me and said, “You need to run faster!” or “Your stride is wrong!” In fact, they lied to me a lot and said, “Hey, you’re looking great!” I hurt, but there they were. There are people who are hurting in the world today, and what do we do? Nothing most of the time. They run by us, limping, wondering when they’re going to make it to the finish line, and we just stand there, silent. Some people might not be hurting, they might just be tired, and we don’t say a word. In fact, we look past them for someone we know. We hold up our sign for our friends, but for that other person, chasing the same goal as our friend, we leave them alone. Maybe they’re not hurting, or tired. Maybe they’re looking super strong. How much stronger could they be?
Paul continually speaks in his letters of encouraging one another. In fact, in Romans 12, he references this as a spiritual gift. Every single Christian you know is running a race. Will you encourage them today?

GO OUTSIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today the temperature is supposed to reach 80!!!!!! So if you are sitting at your computer reading this, shame on you ;) Get outside and play!!!

In other news, this weekend Adam and Dillon will both be wrestling at regionals. They get to stay overnight in the city of the tournament with daddy tonight so they can be ready bright and early Saturday morning.

Also, Zaria is now mobile!! She is crawling/scooting everywhere!!!! I now have the big job of baby proofing. Zaria can also now crawl to where she wants to be and then sit up from her laying position all by herself!

Garage sale season is now in full swing - I LOVE IT! Yesterday I got 3 shirts and a pair of jeans for Naomi for $3.75. Woohoo, gotta love a bargain :)

I'msohappy!I'msohappy!I'msohappy!I'msohappy!

I got new wood laminate floor today!!!!!!! Now the average person would probably be pretty happy to get new flooring; but not me - I'M ECSTATIC!!!!!!!!! I told Jason when we were looking to buy a house 8 years ago, that I DEFINITELY needed hard floor in the kitchen and dining area of our new house. Well that is not what ended up in the house that we finally chose. So if you know I wanted hard floor when I had 2 kids, I really wanted it when we had 3 kids, then I really, really wanted it when we had 5 kids, then I really, really, really wanted it when we had 6 kids! So soon I will be enjoying my floor, after wrestling season is done and we have an open Saturday!!

About our Blog

I keep going back and forth about whether or not to keep our blog public. I really think I want to change it to private so that only family, extended family and friends can access this blog. I just found out that it will make an extra step of logging in for ya all to access the blog and the other obstacle is that many of you that read the blog I do not have your email address. And lastly, you have to have a google account to access the blog. I think that I will make my final decision by the end of the week. I really don't want to block anyone from seeing the blog that likes to read it, especially extended family that I don't have email addresses for, so if you read and want to continue reading if I decide to make the blog private, please email me and I will plug in your address to give you access to the blog. My address is juliereeder03@yahoo.com

Spring Break

We had a pretty good spring break. We had hoped to do a little more, but Zaria had a cold so we hung out close to home. At the end of the week we did venture off and spend the night in a hotel and went to the boys wrestling meet the next day. It was a fun end to spring break for the kids. They had a riot swimming in the pool at the hotel. The wrestling tourney was fun as well Dill had to wrestle 2 opponents one of which was a girl. He pinned them both in less than 30 seconds! Adam did really well also. This is the boys' first year wrestling so most of the kids their age that they wrestle have years of experience on them. Adam wrestled 3 times, the first 2 he lost and the last one was an awesome match and he won!! Woohoo! Here are some pics of the week.
