Dilly's Kitty and a New Adventure

Last week the kids heard a meowing when they were playing in the back yard but couldn't figure out where it was coming from. In the evening, Dillon heard it again and pulled apart the wood pile and found an abandoned baby kitty (and I mean BABY). It was the size of our hamster. It looked good and well taken care of. The best we can figure was that the mama was transferring the babies and she dropped this little one and couldn't get it out. Dillon said it was wedged between a piece of wood and the fence, just hanging there. So we left it for a while and no mama came to get him and he was meowing very loudly. We were concerned that he would get eaten by a predator in the night, so of course we had to take him in (this is not the first time, you can read about that here). By now it was 10:30 pm and I found an emergency baby kitten formula recipe to feed him, so off to the store to pick up ingredients for that. Then we also found out that a kitten this little has to be fed every two hours around the clock..... guess who got that job. I was pretty tired by morning and knew that this little guy needed more care that we could give, so thankfully our local animal hospital took him in and is caring for him. They even told Dillon that he could visit any time he wanted to. We did that today, here are the pics from our visit, Dillon named him "Lost" and you can see that his eyes aren't even open yet.
We will be trying something new for our family this week! Both Jason and I camped as kids with our families, but we have never done it with our kids. We are going for a few days to a local state park to see how it goes. Everyone is very excited to try out Grandma and Grandpa R's. trailer!!! Thanks for letting us use it!

We camped when our kids were young and it was always fun. We don't have our camper anymore but I would still love to go again.
