Yesterday I was mowing the lawn and had a big surprise.......I always go around the outside edges by the fence when I am starting to mow.  I was on my second time around and saw fur scattered all over where I had just mowed.  My heart started racing and I was just terrified as I peeked over the edge of the bunny hole that I had just mowed over!!! I seriously think that you could see my heart beating through my chest!! I peered in the little hole expecting to see a mess of carnage and much to my HAPPY surprise, all 4 or 5 little baby bunnies were alive and intact resting peacefully. The fur was all the fur that the mama bunny had covered her little babies with.  Now, we have the job of making sure Reba is on the chain in our backyard so she doesn't massacre the little guys! We have already had that happen a few years back with Bear. Not a pretty picture!
