Scarlet Fever

Wahhhhh! This week Dillon came home from school with a fever and sore throat, but I didn't take him to the doc because so many times I take the kids and they say the same ol thing, "it's just a virus and it'll have to run its course" well, this morning he woke up and was COVERED with a rash, so off to the urgent care center. Turns out he has Scarlet Fever, which is basically strep throat with a rash. So he is on an antibiotic and should be feeling better real soon. So we would love prayers that the rest of the kids don't get it, so far so good on that front. And if you remember last year, it was a very rough year for us with sicknesses and viruses and Adam even having mono. We are praying that this year is better for us!!! Thanks in advance for the prayers!!

Poor Dillon. Laura had that when she was young. Thanks goodness we have antibiotics and it usually clears up quickly with them.

That is crazy. I didn't think people got that anymore. I hope he is feeling better soon.

My brother and I had this when we were little. Not fun. Praying that no one else gets is and that feels better very quickly and praying this is the end of the sickness in you house.

Yes, It is no more serious than strep, it just comes with a rash. We just do a lot of handwashing around here :)

Awww... I feel so bad for him! My mom had that when she was little and back then they couldn't do a whole lot about it. I'm thankful that he can take antibiotics to help get over it! Hope he feels better soon!!!
